What’s a sustainable record label??? I’m glad you asked.

A sustainable record label is a record label that puts the environment as its first priority. Listed below are some of the ways we plan to do that.

Carbon Offsetting
- Offsets purchased for digital streaming emissions, calculated annually
No Virgin Plastic
- All Carbon Chorus records will be pressed from recycled and/or bio-based PVC
No Fast Fashion
- All Carbon Chorus merch will be upcycled and/or 100% organic and ethical
Sustainable Events
- Featuring vegan vendors, H20 stations, coordinated transit, and more
Partnerships
- With nonprofits and other orgs focused on sustainability, arts, and queer rights
Direct Action
- Label volunteering days, mutual aid donations, environmental innovation

Generative AI is harmful to artists and destroying our planet. Carbon Chorus does not condone AI-generated music or artwork. Our artists are allowed to use non-generative AI tools in moderation, if they choose, so long as none of the composition, lyrics, arrangement, production, or engineering are generated by AI.

Genocide is not sustainable. Addressing the climate crisis means addressing the genocides in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and the genocide of Trans individuals. In lieu of paying for climate substantiation certifications (B Corp, Climate Neutral, etc), Carbon Chorus will donate to Palestine and Transgender legal defense funds.
